I ride All-Mountain to Enduro in the pacific northwes; some fairly fast and steep moto trails. We've been wearing basic helmets such as Fox and Giro and my wife has a POC but they are all just top shells for Trail riding. Well after my wife caught a pedal on a fairly steep rooty section and did a flying header face first into a large cut off stump, hiked out 2 miles in shock and went to the ER to have the hole in her face patched up... I decided it was time to replace my 5+ year old standard helmet.Here's what I like about this Bell Super Air:- It is very comfortable, looks and feels well designed- Light weight- easy to install chin bar- Good visibility with the chin bar installed- Great ventilation- Sweat seems to channel away from my eyeballs, and I can work up a good stream when riding- Does not feel like it is riding on my brow-line like the TLD I had for a short period and ditched-I love the adjustable visor, it is very functional and easy to use (no screws, just detents)Con's:The thumb adjuster for tightness is a bit small and hard to reach.I highly recommend this helmet.

+ kompakte Maße des Helms+ Passform ok- Kinnbügel nicht ASTM-Downhill zertifiziert- bei der Anprobe nach Anlieferung habe ich entdeckt, dass beim Schnappmechanismus des Kinnbügel Plastikteile abgebrochen waren, bzw. auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite, gab es schon deutliche Zeichen der Abnützung (siehe Fotos). Es scheint als reibt der Metallbügel die Kunsstoff-Arretierung mit der Zeit ab. Demnach dürfte es eher an einem Konstruktionsfehler seitens des Herstellers handeln. Kann mir denken, dass das Kunsstoffteil auf der zweiten Seite auch noch abbricht, wenn man den Kinnbügel 10x mal abgenommen hat. Das geht nicht! Das muss deuntlich länger halten. Helm ging daher zurück.

I got the 'grays'. It looks like an awesome light gray fade to dark gray in the picture here on amazon. But it's not. It's just a light gray, same all the way throughout. I paid extra for that look bc I know my husband would love it. So it's disappointing. But great product, the whole family wears them.

I wanted a new helmet that had all the latest safety built into it, and I also wanted a full face helmet for when I went to bike parks. I gave this helmet a try, expecting it to be not great in either half helmet or full face configuration. Surprisingly, the helmet fits well, gets great air flow, is super light, and I don’t even notice when the chin piece is installed. I have actually been wearing it as a full face all the time…
