En la línea de las publicaciones de Hal Leonard, las partituras son demasiado simples, en solfeo (no tablatura), y únicamente con la línea melódica, aportan más bien poco a lo que ya es capaz un oido medianamente entrenado... Cada tema se trata en 4 versiones con partitura independiente, adaptadas a la escala de diferentes instrumentos (Do alto, Si bemol, Mi bemol, Do bajo (para bajos)) pero en todo caso simple a rabiar.Lo mejor, con diferencia, el CD. Cada tema se incluye con diversos formatos y opciones:- La melodía de la partitura, como referencia- Cortes con ritmos de acompañamiento profesionales- Acompañamientos para solos- Línea de bajo eliminable (para práctica de bajistas)- Teclados eliminables- Para cada uno de los 10 temas se incluye un corte estéreo con el acompañamiento completo. (Sólo a falta de la melodía, que como se ha dicho es lo único que incluyen las partituras)Los 10 temas:- Bim-Bom- Bossa Antigua- Estate- A Felicidade- Flamingo- Frenesi- Ho-Ba-La-La- Menina Flor- O Pato (The Duck)- Petite Fleur (Little Flower)El CD incluye estos temas, para cada uno en primer lugar un corte con las variantes para estudio citadas y a continuación el corte con el tema completo. Al final se incluye un corte con tonos para afinación de instrumento en Si bemol.

I have a library of these Hal Leonard play along books. They are all very good and a must for anyone wanting to improve their playing and improvising. I particularly like the Latin American music having got hooked after buying a Stan Getz "Gitanes Jazz" album of Stan Getz Bossa Nova, way way back. I bought this just for Estate but every other track is one to learn, Flamingo, Petite Fleur are two that I like.

I loved the selections of songs, the sheet music and the arrangements were fine. But the CD started acting flaky after the 2nd song. Start/stop/hang. I carefully cleaned some spots from the surface of the disk and managed to get to the 4th song before it stopped completely.The arrangement of Menina Flor is missing about the last 3rd of the song. I was playing at a jam with musicians using the Real Book and tried to use the music from this CD and realized it is missing several bars.
