今までは国産のバンドスコアしか購入したことはありませんでしたが、今回、他の方のレビューを参考に初めてAuthentic Guitar-Tabを購入しました。国産のスコアでは音符は確かに楽曲通りのメロディではるが、Tab譜の方はというと自分のような素人でさえも「あやしい・・・」と思える部分があったのは確かであります。しかし、この譜面はDVD（メトロポリス２０００）でペトルッチが弾いているのと見比べてもわかる通り完璧なのではないでしょうか。もちろん私はプロではありませんので、ペトルッチのギターを完全にコピーすることなどできるはずもありませんが、譜面を見ながらCDを聞くだけでもペトルッチ、もっと言えばドリームシアターというバンドがいかにすごいか！ということをあらためて感じてしまいます。ソロが美しいのは当然のこと、リフが素晴らしいの一言に尽きます・・・脱帽というか、このような作曲センスを持っているペトルッチを尊敬するとともにこの音楽を聴ける幸せをあらためて感じさせてくれる一冊でした。

This book posses by far the most accurate transcription of any album I have ever seen, most likely due to the influence and personal overseeing by the man who wrote the majority of it, John Petrucci.The book is ideal for any guitarist/Dream Theater fan looking to expand their knowledge and abilities on the guitar. BE WARNED, many of the parts in this book are very challenging and definitely suited towards advanced players, there are however still plenty of very cool riffs an intermediate player should have no trouble with. The book in conjunction with lots of practice will also help intermediate players reach that advanced level.Another important note is this book contains ONLY the guitar and vocal parts, none of the keyboard solos (which often sound similar to guitar)are notated.A brilliant album and spotless transcription, well worth a look!

このスコアの一番の特徴はジョン・ぺトルーシ本人が編集しているという事だ。たいていの洋楽スコアの採譜者はそのバンドの事を熟知しているわけではなく、CD音源からの情報のみをたよりに採譜するので、結果的に音が合っていてもそこからそのフレーズを作り出したバックグラウンドが見えにくい。本書はコード進行と共に、正確で、実際に本人がライブでもっとも弾きやすいポジションを採譜してあるので曲の流れや発想が見えてくるのである。そのためこのスコアを使ってコピーすることはプレイのみにとどまらず、作曲やアレンジ力もつくということである。ドリーム・シアターに近づくには最も効率が良く効果的な方法だ。また、曲の頭に書いてあるコードのダイアグラムはぺトルーシが多用するコードばかりなので彼独特のヴォイシングを理解でき、またそのコードは他の曲でも多用されているのでドリーム・シアターの色々な曲をコピーするのに大変役に立つ。ドリーム・シアターファンやギターがうまくなりたい、作曲力やアレンジ力をつけたいと思う人は是非手に入れたい一冊である。決して損はしないはずだ。

This is THE book you should buy if you consider a DT fan and you play guitar.Finally I can "try" to play all those classic songs of scenes from a memory with the real notations, that trust me; are very different for those internet tabs.
