Whilst changing the batteries in R Florries scooter she decided, unwisely, to put the TOC onto a live terminal instead of taping it to the side of the battery.This was firmly against my advice. Something she does on most occasions.When the flash and welding occurred she screamed. This, I believe, is the necessity for a fused circuit to be in place as not everything is idiot proof.After testing the output voltage, it was established that the fuse had did its job and the TOC was unserviceable, both have since been replaced.Lessons, hopefully, have been learnt(I’ve heard that before).I will observe and report.
