I was super pleased with the quality of the shorts shorts are super soft and the shirt is a super nice material. Fits exactly as expected for 12 months as I know some sizing is kind of weird

Hurley makes excellent swim products for kids. This is a fourth swim combo I got for my son and he loves them. The rash guard is breathable and dries fast. It protects my son's skin nicely, as he never gets a tan on the areas covered by the shirt, while his legs get deep chocolate color. The shorts have FUNCTIONAL TIES! Hallelujah! The shorts can be cinched in. I need them to be functional because my son is very thin and tall for his age. We love the design of both the shirt and shorts. I ordered size 6 for my kid who's wearing size 5 right now and the set is large on him but that's okay, I expected it to be large, I bought it to fit him next year as well, and the shorts cinch in with the ties, so it's not an issue.

The material was nice, but my complaint is there is no cinch to the swim trunks. The elastic is super loose, and there's not a draw string or elastic with buttons to fit them to my little boy. They are great in length, but he couldn't walk let alone swim without them falling off. I jerry-rigged a draw string, so they are functional now, but not having a way to cinch the waistband is a poor design. It is possible that I just got a defective pair, but be aware if you're purchasing for a scrawny little boy like mine.
