I ordered these yard signs for marking a yard/garage sale. I need to leave directions at either end of my lane, as well as at my driveway, and while not perfect, these will work fine.The signs themselves are corrugated plastic, and although it's perfectly possible to write or paint directly on to them, I have some A4 easy-peel stickers that I can print and stick to the signs then peel off when finished with them.However, there are several negatives for me. First, unfortunately the cardboard sheet intended to provide a stiffening protection for the boards from the metal 'legs' is not up to the job and a couple of the boards were dented (see pictures). A bit of fiddling with a bamboo skewer to open up the crushed corrugation channels, then working the wires on the stands in and out helped to flatten out the dents enough to get the boards looking OK.Secondly, inserting the stands into the boards takes considerable attention to ensure they go in straight and don't tear the board. Again I found my trusty bamboo skewer helped prepare the channels to take the wires legs. Thirdly, while the stands are the dimensions given on the listing, by the time one end is inserted into the board and the other into the ground, the board is only about 25cm above ground level - not great visibility for people in cars. I've got round this by using tie wraps and gaffer tape to mount them to fences instead of sticking them in the ground.Fourthly, I think suggesting these will be OK in wind is wishful thinking, They would probably be fine in a light breeze, but if they're facing into any real wind, it will have them straight over it they are not secured in some way. This would, of course, be true of most sign boards of this nature.All that said, they are handy boards and I can't find any more aligned with what I want for the price (£16.99 for 10 at time of writing). I shall be using them (with my adaptations), and would recommend if you're content to make necessary adaptations.

This brilliant set of signs arrives in a easy to recycle plastic bag. It's the kind of of thing that you see in movies or during American elections. But this type of sign isn't common over here in the UK.Usually the only type of corrugated style signs you'll see is the A2 sized "for sale" signs put up by estate agents. Sometimes the occasional A3 sign for an event zip tied to a lamp post. So when you do see something like it really does stand out, making it very effective for advertising stuff, which is exactly why I chose this pack.Though, as I know when using old estate signs in the past (for displaying artwork), the materials used do have some limitations. For example you can't paint or draw onto corrugated plastic, they just won't stick to the smooth easy to clean surface. However you can easily stick materials, such as card and paper, onto the corrugated plastic with a glue stick or PVA glue.One material that sticks particularly well is vinyl, in particular vinyl that's been cut using an electronic cutting machine such as a Criciut. A choice of material, which unlike paper and cardboard, is waterproof and dirt resistant to some degree. Though whatever you add to your blank sign, one thing as other reviewers have correctly noted, will be always apparent with any corrugated materials.It's can be hard to mount corrugated stuff to other things and the metal frames with this set are no exception to that. In particular adding the metal stands to the corrugated plastic is fiddly. So much so that you can often poke the stand through through the plastic board.One solution to this, as as other reviews suggest, is to widen the corrugations with something like a bent coat hanger or knitting needle. A task that can be annoying and time consuming, or you could duct tape the board to the metal frame. Another option is to use zip ties, even though it doesn't look very pretty, it's effective especially if the sign is going to be located in somewhere that's really windy.Overall ? Yes there's some minor limitations to this set. But these be easily overcome to create some a different very effective forms of getting your message across. Whether that's announcing a birthday party for your dog, telling your neighbours about a car boot sale or selling your house. Something this set does really well and at a very reasonable price.
