Okay folks my turntable Thorens TD1500 came with the Bronze fitted and of course, I broke the stylus after playing only a couple of records. In the end, I gave in and purchased another and it is a good stylus however I would not say a fantastic one. I liked Ortofon during the OM years but I am not as convinced with the latest range. The bass is OK, the trebles are good, and the mids are warm but for me, it lacks the earthy depth of rawness required to listen to hard rock, etc. When this wears out I am going back to Audio Technica or Sumiko.Update: After listening to the Bronze for a good few hours the magic started to happen. Gone are the initial teething troubles and gradually a more vibrant and genre ready stylus has become apparent, from jazz to rock all is good. I never really believed in cartridge break in but the Bronze has made me think otherwise. This is now a keeper and a firm favourite.

This is just an absolutely fabulous sounding stylus. Great detail with a lot of mellowness to it. Tracks very well do you’re not picking up do many unwanted pops and clicks. I prefer this over the 2M Black just because of the smoothness og it. The black has a little wider soundstage and more detail but also picks up every little bit of noise even on new vinyl
