Just used these "medium" strings for the first time and very pleased with the improved tone on my Ozark banjo. I will now buy another couple of sets for future use at such a good price. I note that another writer broke them he says, I do not believe that he knew what to do.

You pay for what you get. The little coloured beads on the strings didn’t correspond in any way to the guide on the pack. Online tutor suggested bending already wound loops to make for easier fitting but even with care they snapped. So fiddly job of twisting new loops Took best part of hour to fit the five strings as a result. Will look for more expensive sturdier options next time
